This cemetery lies just north of the Alcoa plant in Addy on a hill. Take
the Marble Valley Basin Road from the Addy Gifford Road for 1.5 mi. After
you pass the crossroads of Marble Valley Basin Rd and Hutchinson Rd it
is about one half mile on the right or east. You cannot easily see it
from the road, but it is visible.
One has to cross over a farmer's field to reach it from the main road.
We had no way of measuring the distance, only an estimate. It seemed
to us that we had to walk about a mile each way.
It is a small burial ground, with two white picket fenced in areas,
each having one tombstone in them, which are in quite good shape. It
appears to be cared for occasionally, the fence is a bit rickity but
looks freshly painted. It sits atop the hill in the evergreen trees.
I have no idea if it has a name, so I gave it the name of those who
are buried in it. We found no evidence of other burials here, but there
could be.
Surveyed by Michelle Morris and I on Jun 20, 2001.
