From Northport take State Hwy 25 north toward Canada. The Hwy veers left and onto the bridge. Shortly after you are over the river take the first road south or left, which is the Newport-Flat Creek Road. It may not have a sign. Do not take Sheep Creek Road. Continue south for 5 miles and the cemetery will be on the left or river side of the road.

There is no name on the cemetery so I created one. If anyone knows the correct name for it, please contact me. I chose Moses Springs because that is the only placename on a map near it. The spring is northwest about a half mile and appears to run into the river just west of the cemetery.

The cemetery is fenced and easily seen from the road. It appears to have no care, at least not often. My guess it that it was an allotment or family burial site which no longer has family to care for it. Being so close to the Moses Spring makes me wonder if it was a Moses family cemetery.

It was a great disappointment to find that there are no gravestones with names engraved or painted on them. There is one memorial stone which was placed there by the tribal council. The rest were simply larger sized stones. These stones were situated in a row marking the graves. I suspect there may be other burial sites with no markers.
