Here we have the tent like building in the center of the cemetery. Funerals are held here with ease no matter the weather. The monument in the foreground is telling about the cemetery's beginning. To the right another sign has the following words inscribed on it.

"In memory of Wm H Short Sr and family, pioneers of this community who through their gracious love and gifts were central in establishing the Open Door Congregational Church and the Woodland Cemetery."
