The Fairview cemetery is located in 12 acres of land just south of Rockford. To reach the cemetery from Hwy 27, turn east onto Emma street, then south onto Campbell Road and continue for about a mile up the hill, and the cemetery is on your left.
This cemetery has perpetual care and is well maintained. The size of it took me several days reading. Vicki Morris helped on the first day. I have compared my readings with the Sexton files which are maintained by Art Grewe.
The first section of land dedicated as cemetery, was dedicated May 22, 1889 and the second section was dedicated Aug 28, 1911. There are burials listed earlier than this however.
I walked and read and transcribed this cemetery in the summer of 1999. Listings added after that date are mostly from obits.
