This old cemetery was located just NE of the present day Chattaroy Cemetery on Jim Hill Rd.

The area where this cemetery used to be is now under cultivation on farm land. At some point in time it was decided to move the cemetery. This took place about 1894, but no existing record can be found, according to the current Sexton of the Chattaroy Cemetery, Gary Ogden.

Apparently they had a cemetery which was not satisfactory and decided they needed a better location. The two are so close, it is understandable they made no big note of the relocating. I suspect there were not too many burials in the Old Chattaroy Cemetery before the change was made.
