Driving north on Hwy 2 south of Chattaroy, turn right or east onto the Elk Chattaroy Road and continue for about 10 miles, turning left onto Laurel Road at the intersection. Continue about 2.5 miles. There will be a small lane with a chain across that leads off to the left to this cemetery.

The Muhle cemetery was located on the farm of Mrs. Augusta Sneva, SE of Elk WA. It is thought that this was the first pioneer homestead of the area. Mrs. Sneva is a descendent of the Muhle family. At this time I am not sure who's property it is on. It is situated in the trees within a partial fence.

This cemetery, which is also known as the Coldsnow Cemetery by some of the locals, dates back to the 1890s is still being used by family today. It appears to be about 1/4 acre in size. The cemetery is not that well maintained, but it appears to be cleaned out a couple times a year. I was not able to find a contact person.

Entries with an asterisk * I found not stone or marker for and are from the personal knowledge of Mr. Henry Sodhoff or from the May 30, 1959 transcription by Blundell-Lartigue.

After transcribing from the 1959 source, I visited and read this cemetery on Nov 01, 2007, using my digital camera to photograph of all existing and legible stones and markers.
