To reach cemetery from Fairfield drive east on Bradshaw Road about 5-6
miles to Starr Road. The cemetery is south of Bradshaw Road and about
w/3 mile east of Starr Road on the northwest side of the Butte.
(Butte Cemetery is located near the top of the hill known as Starr
Butte, which is about six miles east of the town of Fairfield, in Spokane
County. Rock Creek Valley Twp, Sect 24,T22N R45. This account is from
"Early History of Fairfield", 1960)
This cemetery, although still established on the county records, is
no longer used. The only evidence of this cemetery is a 12' x 8' fence
5' high, of heavy gauge wire mesh, in which the stones are placed. I
found no Sexton record for this cemetery.
