To reach the Veterans Cemetery #2, drive west on Pennsylvania Ave to Memorial Rd where you take a left. Stay on this road and the cemetery will be right in front of you as you enter the cemetery area. The Veterans #1 will be on your left and this one on your right. see map

Cemetery is just across the road from Vets #1. This cemetery used to be the County Cemetery. It was deeded to the Veterans in 1991, since it was used hardly at all.

Some are Veterans and their spouses buried here and others are county burials. I do not have information as to who is which, but I think those listed with military information easily distinguishes which they are. Actually there were not too many county burials in this cemetery.

I was unable to acquire information for either of the Veteran cemeteries. Also could find no one to use as a contact person. Perhaps one can contact the city hall if you need help for either of these cemeteries.

All the transcription information, I have presented here, is from the reading of the headstones when I walked the cemetery. The history information was from Roslyn City Hall. For further information you might try Ellensburg Funeral Home. Ask for Chet Howard at 509-925-3141, or PO Box 306, Ellensburg WA.

I surveyed this cemetery on Aug 20, 2001, using pencil and pad, plus my digital camera. I have a photo of all of the legible stones that were there when I visited. For more information on Roslyn.
