East of Hwy #21 one mile, and north of Curlew, follow signs. It is well
marked. When you find it, you have a somewhat steep climb to the top of
the hill where the cemetery is.
This has become a famous cemetery because of Ranald McDonald's life.
It is said that may Japanese tour to the cemetery to pay their respects
because of what he did for their people. There are coins left from visitors
at the base of the stone.
It has been named a Heritage Site, by the State Parks and Recreation
Commission. The cemetery is not maintained all that well, it is fenced
and perhaps cleaned out annually.
Besides the following headstones there were several white unmarked
crosses in the cemetery.
I visited and surveyed this cemetery on July 19, 2001.
