Items needed for mortaring

a. Cement coloring

b. Fine sand

c. Hammer and chisels for removing old mortar

d. Hydrated Lime

e. Mason's trowels work best

f. Mixing box

g. Pointing tool with a flexible blade

h. White Portland Cement is preferred, can use regular cement

i. Mortar mix (1 part cement, 4 parts hydrated lime, 8 parts fine sand)
